We seek an enthusiastic Junior Quantitative Analyst passionate about driving innovation and growth in capital markets.

As an intern in the Model Validation Department of ATHEXCLEAR, you will ensure the quality of models used for measuring markets and credit risks. The Validation team conducts in-depth reviews of these models to ensure quality performance by assessing model design and methodologies, statistical performance, data quality, implementation, regulatory compliance, and usage.

We present insights and propose recommendations to the Risk Management team while closely working with model developers, owners, users, and other key stakeholders.

The role reports to the Head of the Risk Validation Department.

Key Accountabilities

• Retrieve, analyze, and interpret data from various sources.
• Assess model performance both quantitatively and qualitatively.
• Participate in model framework development and automation of validation processes.
• Develop analytical tools to improve the risk models’ review process.
• Test model performance from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives.
• Interpret test results and provide insights.
• Produce interactive reports.
• Present validation results to interested parties and management.

Knowledge and experience

• Academic background in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Econometrics, Physics, Engineering, or similar fields.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as R or Python.
• Experience in managing and manipulating data.
• Familiarity with Power BI is a plus.

Skills & Competences

• Willingness to take on responsibility and deliver high-quality work on time.
• Proactive and constructive in collaborating with team members.
• Good writing and communication skills in both Greek and English.
