DataBase Administrator

We are looking for a DataBase Administrator (DBA) to join our talented IT team, responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our company's databases.
Key Accountabilities
- Day-to-day support, monitoring, troubleshooting and administration of production Databases. Assist in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Perform Database server installations, configurations, patch updates and version upgrades when recommended and required. Collaborate with senior DBAs to set up and maintain database environments.
- Participate in regular backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Assist in managing user access and permissions to the database. Implement security policies and procedures according to security standards, including database auditing and user access control
- Work closely with other engineering and operations teams to ensure proper integration of database infrastructure with other systems.
- Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Knowledge and experience
- BSc degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, Engineering, or related science degree.
- Postgraduate/Μaster’s degree in Information Technology will be considered a plus.
- 2- 3 years of professional experience in similar roles.
- Familiarity with popular database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB or PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
It will be considered a plus if you have the following
- Experience in Cloud-native Databases.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as PL/SQL and/or T-SQL coding.
- Understanding of operating systems, Linux, Windows Server.

- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Highly organized and responsible.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
- Positive attitude, highly motivated, proactive and a team player.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Fulfilled military obligations (for men).
