We seek to employ for a fixed period of time a motivated QA Engineer Intern to join our talented QA team. You will work within a dynamic team of highly motivated and skilled QA professionals, playing an integral role in meeting our challenge to develop and implement robust automated and manual QA processes for cutting-edge in-house applications, with ever-increasing demands for quality and efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to effective, reusable, and maintainable automated functional test frameworks and test cases under guidance to achieve maximum code coverage in a fast-paced environment
- Assist in developing and executing automation scripts and learn to analyze automation test results using Selenium, TestNG, REST Assured, Cucumber Java with mentorship and support
- Participate in reviewing automated tests and learn to provide suggestions to improve the quality of the test with guidance from senior team members
- Perform manual testing of test cases as and when needed to build foundational testing experience
- Communicate effectively, test results, and highlight any potential quality risks with support from the team
- Write test cases in test management tools such as Jira while receiving training and guidance
Knowledge and experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or another science degree
- Basic knowledge or coursework experience in software development with languages such as Java or JavaScript
- Exposure to or willingness to learn automated testing for UIs and APIs using tools such as TestNG, Postman, Cucumber, etc., through academic projects or personal learning
- Familiarity with or eagerness to learn source code management tools (Git, SVN, etc.) through coursework or self-study
- Basic understanding of or interest in learning JIRA and other project management tools
Skills & Competences
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality results within established deadlines
- Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and constructive communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
