Market Operator (Market Setup Officer)

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical individual for the position of Market Operator in our Market Setup Department. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the seamless functioning of the ATHEX trading systems and markets, in line with the Regulatory Framework and our operating procedures.
The role reports to the Head of the Market Setup Department, Market Operation & Surveillance Division.
Key Accountabilities
- Trading System Management: Oversee and customize the trading system’s database to ensure smooth daily market operations
- Application Development: Participate in the design, operation, and enhancement of applications, including rigorous testing
- Exchanges Support: Facilitate and provide support (troubleshooting issues) to partner exchanges, ensuring seamless collaboration and functionality
- Procedure Implementation: Define and implement business procedures for the department to maintain high standards and efficiency
- Incident Management: Handle and investigate incidents related to the systems managed by the department, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption
Knowledge and experience
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, or any related subject, or two years of experience in financial markets or systems administration, or relevant experience aligned with the responsibilities and duties described above
- Excellent ability to manage time, multiple requirements, and solve problems efficiently, with an effective response to critical processes
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in creating reports and presentations
- Very good knowledge of Greek and English, both written and oral
