QA Engineer

We seek a professional QA Engineer passionate about driving innovation and growth in capital markets.
The role reports to the QA Lead.
The candidate will be part of the QA team that implements automated and manual QA for in-house developed applications. He/she will work closely with the Developers’ teams, the Business Analysts and Business Users and utilize their feedback to define the QA strategy, QA plans and implement the QA process, using automation where possible.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop effective, reusable and maintainable automated functional test framework and test cases to achieve maximum code coverage in a fast-paced environment
- Develop, execute automation scripts and analyze automation test results by using Selenium, TestNG, REST Assured, Cucumber java
- Integrate tests into the build and make process to enhance continuous integration efficiency, using tools like Jenkins to automate and streamline the testing pipeline
- Ensure test automation design is traceable to requirements or existing manual test cases and achieve a high level of requirement/test execution coverage
- Review automated tests and provide suggestions to improve the quality of the test
- Perform manual testing of test cases as and when needed
- Communicate test results and highlight any potential quality risks
- Write test cases in Test management tools such as Jira.
Knowledge and experience
- BSc degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or other science degree
- At least 2 years of professional experience in similar roles
- Experience - even if limited - in software development with languages such as Java or Javascript
- Experience in developing automated tests for UIs and APIs using tools such as TestNG, Postman, Cucumber, etc.
- Good knowledge of source code management tools (Git, SVN, etc.)
- Hands on experience with JIRA.

- Excellent problem-solving skills to develop quick and effective solutions for complex issues
- Eager to learn new things and to share his/her own ideas
- Fluent in both Greek and English
- Fulfilled military obligations (for men).
